Leo fast tracking after long layoff

By Andy Rivera

Angelo Leo career was at a stand still after his win over Aaron Alameda in June of 2021, Leo didn’t return to the ring until November of 2023, since he has had two more fights this year.

Leo has been on a tear since jumping up to 126lbs, he feels stronger and it has become evident with all three win by stoppage. No more drying out for Leo.

“I feel strong at this weight, I don’t have to struggle or dry out.” Leo said “I can eat better, well I always ate better, but I can eat more and not worry.”

Leo will enter the ring Wednesday in Plant city, Florida, it will be Leo’s third fight with Probox, since the move Leo is now being considered for a possible title shot later this year.

The former 122 world champion Leo will battle Eduardo Baez 23-5-2. Leo is on a two fight ko streak and hopes it can continue with Baez.

“The power has been better now that I’m stronger and working on things in the gym.”

One thing that has been devastating in Leo’s arsenal is his left hook to the body. it’s something he has always used, but it’s more effective with his jump to featherweight.

Leo, 23-1 states he has big plans coming this year and things are in motion for the #7 wba ranked featherweight.

“I can’t say much until it is signed and sealed, if all things go as planned I’ll let everyone know what’s next.”

Next for now is Baez, we will have a link posted on how to watch Leo vs Baez live.
