Lovato Defeats Martinez by Unanimous Decision in Embassy Suites Main Event

Amanda Lovato defeated Leanna Martinez by unanimous decision in a women’s flyweight bout Saturday night, headlining a card promoted by Donald Sanchez and DSP Promotions at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Albuquerque.

Lovato set the tone early, scoring a knockdown during the first minute of the opening round. From there, she appeared to control the majority of the fight and dictated much of the action.

Martinez fought back gallantly and continued to compete throughout the bout, but Lovato appeared to be the fighter in control for most of the evening.

Aiseah Achesah Scores First-Round TKO

Aiseah Achesah continued his professional boxing journey with an impressive first-round stoppage over Enoch Adonai in their light heavyweight contest.

Achesah, who weighed 181¾ pounds, stopped Adonai at 1:50 of the opening round after landing a series of punches that brought the fight to an early conclusion.

Javier Saenz Decisions Isaac Anaya

In featherweight action, Javier Saenz earned a unanimous decision over Isaac Anaya in a four-round bout.

Saenz, 127 pounds, controlled the contest and earned the decision on the judges’ scorecards:

* Esther Lopez — 40-36

* Stan Saavedra — 39-37

* Chris Tellez — 40-36

Anaya weighed 126½ pounds.

Kaleb Medina Wins Pro Debut

Kaleb Medina made a successful professional debut, defeating veteran John Herrera by unanimous decision in a four-round lightweight bout.

Medina, 136½ pounds, controlled the action throughout and won by identical 40-36 scores from all three judges.

Rocky Burke, Esther Lopez and Chris Tellez all had Medina winning every round.

Adian Sanchez Falls in Pro Debut

It was a difficult professional debut for Adian Sanchez, who was stopped by George Roybal just 59 seconds into the opening round of their welterweight bout.

Sanchez weighed 146 pounds, while Roybal came in at 144½.

Roybal quickly found his rhythm and ended the contest before Sanchez could settle into his debut.

Jorge Villarruel II Scores Quick Stoppage

Jorge Villarruel II made quick work of Shaquan Wager, scoring a first-round TKO at 2:16 of their super flyweight bout.

Villarruel entered the contest with a 3-0 record and continued his unbeaten start with another stoppage victory.

Wager entered the bout with a record of 2-13.

A Night of Boxing in Albuquerque

The Embassy Suites card gave New Mexico’s professional boxing scene another opportunity to showcase local talent and established fighters.

Lovato’s victory over Martinez provided the night’s main-event highlight, while Achesah added another stoppage to his résumé. Saenz and Medina picked up unanimous decisions, with Medina earning his first professional victory, and Villarruel II continued his unbeaten run with a quick first-round stoppage.
