Stephanie Han Retains WBA Lightweight Title

Stephanie Han successfully defended her WBA Lightweight Championship, earning a majority decision victory over Holly Holm in their rematch Saturday night.

The judges scored the bout:

• 95-95

• 96-94 Han

• 96-94 Han

Han’s more effective punching proved to be the difference. While Holm attempted to use movement and range, Han consistently pressed the action and landed the cleaner, harder shots throughout much of the contest.

With the victory, Han retains her WBA lightweight title and adds another significant win to her career, defeating the former world champion for the second time.
