Fighters hit the scales Friday ahead of Saturday night’s Tapia Promotions card in Albuquerque, with local favorites Josh “Pitbull” Torres and Clinton “Native Kid” Chavez looking locked in and ready for action. Saturday’s event, part of the Johnny Tapia Memorial Fight Festival, will feature a mix of rising local talent and veteran experience inside the ring.

Torres appeared focused and confident during the weigh-in as he prepares for a showdown with Argentina’s Diego Gonzalo Luque. Known for his pressure style and fan-friendly approach, Torres enters the bout looking to continue building momentum in front of a hometown crowd.

Chavez also looked sharp on the scales, bringing intensity ahead of his matchup with Eduardo Monrreal. The “Native Kid” has become a fan favorite.

Also featured are Tapia’s adored sons, Johnathan and Johnny Jr.

The stage is now set for an exciting night of boxing as Tapia Promotions honors the legacy of New Mexico boxing legend Johnny Tapia with a stacked night of fights at Leo’s Outdoors Saturday night. For all fight updates, visit BoxingNewMexico.com.
