Han -Holm rematch targeted for May

A rematch between WBA lightweight champion Stephanie Han and Albuquerque’s Holly Holm is being targeted for late May, with May 30 or May 31 currently rumored as possible dates.

Sources indicate a press conference is expected soon to formally announce the bout.

Han stopped Holm by TKO in January to capture the WBA lightweight title in a surprising result that reignited interest in the rivalry. The rematch would give Holm, fighting in front of her hometown fan base, a chance at redemption against the hard-charging Han.

The fight is expected to appear on the undercard of a main event featuring unified super featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner.
