Kathrine Lindenmuth’s drug test results have come back negative following her bout with Angelina Lucas.
The fight, which took place in November in Egypt, was originally announced as a split-decision victory for Lindenmuth. However, the local commission later ruled the bout a no contest after Lindenmuth did not take a drug test immediately following the fight.
Lindenmuth later submitted to a drug test upon her return home to the United States, and those results have now been confirmed as negative.
The WBA has sent a letter to BoxRec requesting the bout status be updated on their platform.
With the original split-decision win, Lindenmuth had claimed the WBA Gold flyweight title. The WBA Gold belt is considered a regional title and is typically used as a stepping stone toward higher placement in the organization’s world rankings.
