Undefeated welterweight Rolyn Nez, with a record of 5-0, aims to maintain his unbeaten status on Saturday night as he faces the resilient Daniel Gonzalez at the Ohkay Casino near Española, NM. Nez, who is 6 feet tall and weighs 147 pounds, will be participating in his second main event against Gonzalez. Gonzalez, with a record of 5 wins and 2 losses, is returning to the ring for the first time since June 2024.

If Nez can overcome Gonzalez, he intends to stay active and further establish his reputation nationwide.

Nez expressed the desire to be more active this year and ensure their name becomes well-known, aiming to ultimately achieve the goal of becoming a champion.

After winning boxingnewmexico's Prospect of the Year in 2024, Nez is widely regarded as having the potential to achieve great success.

Nez believes his style is better suited for the professional level, having won 70% of his 85 amateur fights.

"Im a boxer puncher, I like to use my height and reach first and if the opportunity comes then i go for the knockout."

Nez possesses some knowledge about the legendary fighters who were tall and rangy like himself. He mentioned "Flaco Explosivo" Alexis Arguello, renowned for his boxing skills and his ability to finish fights with his iconic left hook.

"My manager, Peter Mckinn, introduced me to Arguello and advised me to study him, noting how he utilized his height and reach to set up his power."

Saturday night Nez looks to set up his power and send a statement that he is someone to keep an eye on.
