BoxingNewMexico.com has an interview in the works with undisputed flyweight champion and 2024 Women’s Fighter of the Year Gabriella Fondura (17-0, 9 KOs).

Fondura, fresh off her September stoppage victory over Alexas Kubicki, has firmly established herself as one of the sport’s elite. Many observers place her among the top five pound-for-pound women’s fighters in the world. She is also the sister of current WBC junior middleweight titleholder Sebastian Fondura, making the Fondura family one of the most accomplished in boxing today.

Our upcoming conversation will explore what’s next for the reigning champion, her goals moving into 2025, and her thoughts on the surging contenders in the division. One name that continues to surface is Bosque Farms’ own Kathrine Lindenmuth (8-5), who captured the WBA Minor Gold flyweight title on Thursday in Egypt. The win is expected to launch Lindenmuth into the WBA rankings and position her for bigger opportunities ahead. Fondura is the WBA world champion.

We look forward to speaking with Fondura about the landscape at flyweight—and whether a future showdown with New Mexico’s newly crowned titleholder could ever be in play.
