Holmes Boxing’s “Resurrection” card continues to build into one of the top regional shows of the spring, with another compelling matchup added to the April 18 event at Ohkay Casino.

Undefeated Jorge Villarruel (2-0) will take on what appears to be the toughest opponent of his young career when he squares off against Joe Moralez (2-1) in an undercard bout loaded with potential.

Villarruel has looked sharp in the early stages of his professional run, showing the poise and skill in his first two wins, But on April 18, he will be tested by a dangerous Moralez, who brings his grit that could make this one of the night’s most competitive matchups.

The undercard that also includes undefeated Eduardo Piñon (2-0) meeting Quinton Deleon (1-1), along with Rolyn Nez (6-0) facing Ephraim Martinez (6-2) in what many expect to be Nez’s sternest challenge to date.

Also set for the card is the return of crowd favorite Tone Martinez, adding even more local flavor and fan interest to the show.

For Villarruel, the assignment is clear: pass the toughest test of his career so far. For Moralez, it’s a chance to derail an unbeaten prospect and make his own move up the local rankings.
